Spotify Adds Sound Effects to Help

This summer was not quite the same as we all were. While your dreams of pool parties and beach vacations may go awry, Spotify is here to help you with your new immersive experience by transporting you somewhere well.

Take a vacation with Spotify

Spotify has launched a new website; An experience says I wish you were here. At a time when most of us are stuck indoors, you can use the website — in combination with a little imagination — to take a vacation.

First, choose one of the biggest songs of this summer, whether it’s Dua Lipa’s Break My Heart or Harry Styles’s Watermelon Sugar.

Next, choose your background. Do you want to hear the waves lapping on the beach? Birds tweet in the park? Or maybe a blissful bustle of a carnival?

The website will then play its magic and connect the song with the atmosphere. All you need to do is close your eyes, and go far away from your home.

Of course, no holiday is complete without sharing it with some friends. That is why you can also send a digital postcard through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter with colorful artwork and avocatic taglines.

This experience is available to all free and paid Spotify members at Wish You Were Here.

Listen to summer songs

If you just want to enjoy the summer jam, Spotify has you covered as well. As detailed on For the Record, the streaming service has collected a playlist of the most streamed songs from June 1 to August 15, 2020.

Spot the sound effects and songs

Leading the pack with 380 million streams is RockyStar by DaBaby featuring Roddy Rich, followed by the likes of The Weeknd, Saint JHN and Jason Derulo.

Don’t forget, Spotify has many other summer-inspired playlists for you to enjoy all summer, including “Summer Throwback” and “Island Anthem”.

There is also a “Your Summer Rewind” playlist, which includes the songs you’ve played.

Listen to the spot with friends

Spotify often experiences such a one-off. This type of fun deflection is now more needed than the others.

Music has the power to bring us across any boundary. So you should try Wish Here Here and share your music with friends and family.
